Real Estate Law
As part of our real estate practice, we handle the following types of legal matters: REAL ESTATE VENTURES: Mr. King and Ms. Guiddy participate in over 100 real estate closings a year, which requires them to deal with both buyers and sellers and arrange for or negotiate financing of such purchases and sales. The firm members customarily work with banks and are approved attorneys for closings for most banks in Westmoreland County. LITIGATION: The firm is frequently involved in litigation over boundary line disputes and ownership of real estate rights, including, but not limited to water rights, easements for access and enforcement of covenants impacting its clients. We repeatedly handle cases, where land is being acquired by adverse possession, irrevocable license and easements by prescription. As Mr. King is one of the few attorneys to have an office in Donegal Township, Westmoreland County, he has seen, in the last 25 years, property disputes and real estate issues requiring litigation, which are unique and created by actions of parties dead for more than half a century. We feel confident in providing litigation services in these areas and typically our charges for services are by the hour or a flat fee, depending upon the dispute and wishes of the client.
